POS and till system repair in Tenerife
When the till stops, the business stops. A technician comes to your premises and fixes it on site, from 35 € for the first hour.
Why this is different from fixing a computer
A broken POS is not an inconvenience, it is revenue not coming in. A restaurant whose order system is down mid-service, or a shop that cannot take payment on a Saturday afternoon, loses money every minute. So with till problems the first thing we look for is a workaround that lets you keep taking money today, and only then the permanent repair.
There is nearly always a middle path: move payments to another terminal, print to a different printer on the network, or run the system locally while the connection is repaired. That is where we start.
Faults we see most often
Receipt printers that will not cut the paper or print blank, almost always a dirty head or the wrong paper roll. Cash drawers that will not open, usually the RJ cable from drawer to printer rather than the drawer itself. Touchscreens out of calibration or dead in one area. Barcode scanners that stop reading after an update. And the hospitality classic: the front-of-house terminal losing its connection to the kitchen server exactly when the place is busiest.
We also see plenty of systems failing because the machine acting as till server is an ageing desktop with no backup, sitting in a dusty, hot store room. Where that is the case we will say so, because fixing the symptom does not prevent the next outage.
Card terminals, and the limits of what we can touch
With card terminals it pays to be precise about who is responsible for what. The payment terminal belongs to your bank or payment provider, and we do not open or reconfigure its internals — that has to come from them. What we do handle is everything around it, which is where most failures actually originate: the network and WiFi it connects through, the line or router that keeps dropping, conflicts with other equipment, and integration with your till software.
In practice, when someone calls because "the card machine is down", the card machine is usually fine and the problem is the network. That part we fix.
Till software
We work on whichever management software you already run. We do not sell our own POS or try to migrate you to a different system, which is the last thing a business with a dead till needs. We handle the technical side: installing on a new terminal, licences, updates that have broken something, user permissions, sales database backups, and syncing between multiple points of sale.
